Barista Vincenzo

Vincenzo has been asking for his own coffee machine and microwave for days now. Off we trotted down to Big W this morning to see what we could find…

Whilst looking through the toys we found this super cool dinosaur mask, Vincenzo couldn’t help himself but to try it out “raaaa”. However this was not on our shopping list so we kept searching until we discovered a Vincenzo friendly coffee machine, that actually makes a cuppa (of water)!! He has been entertained for ages now pumping out coffees for everyone. Only problem is I can’t leave him unattended with it as he has already attempted to make cheese coffee and ice cream coffee whoops 😂

Mmm chocolate

Now one would assume that taking a sweet tooth lollie-aholic child to San Churro would be like a dream come true, right? Hmm can I say that we almost had to leave before we even managed to order! Vincenzo was so overwhelmed by all the options that he eventually had a melt down, poor possum. But don’t worry he did eventually come round. However we had to sample the green mint ice-cream because you know when you are two you HAVE TO HAVE THE GREEN ONE!! No surprise though it was delicious. We also had to sample a tasting plate and babycino.

The babycino was of course nice and chocolately, made with real milk chocolate and milk mmm mmm. The glass was all but licked clean so it must have hit the spot.

The best of Stanthorpe

Short holidays are awesome when you have little ones in tow. A few days away to refresh, any longer and you start to really miss the comforts of your own child safe home. After being told that we needed to go on a holiday (thanks Daddy) we packed up our bags and half the house and headed out to the farm out near Stanthorpe.

Vincenzo kept himself busy with lots of farm chores. He loved going out on the quad bike and tractor. A highlight of this trip though was his ride on the newly acquired Thoroughbred Willow. But of course most importantly we had to try out a babycino while in town. We headed into a cozy cafe called Zest Pastries in Stanthorpe who make delicious pies and pastries. Vincenzo was kept occupied with the toys in the toy corner while we ate lunch and drank our coffees while they were hot, ahh the luxury!

The babycino at Zest Pasries was a relatively simple version with a little milk, froth and chocolate powder but it hit the spot and Vincenzo was all smiles. Sometimes less really is best!!
